RESEARCH
My research interests revolve around applied ecology, conservation biology, and predator-prey interactions. I earned my B.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife at Michigan State University, where I studied a range of topics from human predation to Lyme disease ecology to black bears. During my M.S. In Wildlife Ecology and Conservation at the University of Florida, I studied novel detection and capture techniques for Burmese pythons and their impacts on the Everglades mammal community. I am co-advised by Drs. Zach Peery and Jonathan Pauli, and my research focuses on examining the impacts of forest disturbances on raptor and carnivore communities in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains. I aim to develop management strategies that enhance the resilience of these communities to environmental change.
